      <image:caption>Vanessa thoroughly enjoys working in her chosen field of obstetrics and gynaecology. She is enthusiastic about caring for women before, during and after their pregnancies as well managing gynaecological problems throughout a woman’s life including fertility. Vanessa is a graduate of Monash University and trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women. She spent time during her training at rural hospitals in Wangaratta and Geelong and gained international experience at Cork University Maternity Hospital in Ireland. Vanessa’s obstetric practice includes the management of low and high-risk pregnancies, including multiple pregnancies. She is also a fertility specialist with Monash IVF and completed a Masters of Reproductive Medicine in 2013. She also provides pre-pregnancy counselling services, and gynaecological services including laparoscopy and colposcopy. Having grown up in country Victoria on a farm, Vanessa loves the practical, ‘hands on’ aspect of obstetrics and gynaecology, and enjoys being able to care for women at an important time of their lives. With three children of her own, Vanessa recognises the importance of information and choice and respect as women make their own journeys into motherhood. She is happy for the birthing process to be as natural as each mother desires, and is well-prepared, should unexpected complications arise. Safety is paramount, and the hospitals where Vanessa practises all have excellent facilities and offer the highest standard of antenatal and perinatal care. Outside work Vanessa enjoys cycling and playing netball and golf. Her three kids keep her pretty busy as well.</image:caption>

Fiona specialises in high and low risk obstetrics as well as infertility. She loves the experience of caring for women and their families at such an exciting time in their lives. She provides specialised care with warmth and compassion. She is committed to informing parents about all the options available and giving them choice to have the birth they want. Fiona partners with Monash IVF to provide treatment for couples and individuals who need additional help to have a baby.  She also helps those interested in egg freezing. She has a Masters in Reproductive Medicine.  Fiona’s training included time at the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Mercy Hospital for Women. She is currently engaged in teaching the next generation of medical students from Melbourne University. Fiona attends conferences and seminars regularly to remain up to date with the latest research both in Australia and overseas. Fiona is involved in implementing evidence based best practice in the private hospital setting. She is a member of the Obstetric and Neonatal Committee at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Fiona has three teenagers, 2 dogs, a cat and several chooks.  She loves to spend her free time swimming in the bay, sailing and hanging out with her family.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Briohny is an Obstetrician who is passionate about providing exceptional patient centered care. Paramount to this is her dedication and caring nature that is fundamental to the individualised care provided to each of her patients. The opportunity to share a couple’s journey though pregnancy and delivery is incredibly special. Briohny places great importance on understanding her patient’s wishes while expertly guiding them to make informed choices and achieve a safe and healthy delivery. With her broad range of Obstetric experience obtained both in Australia and overseas, Briohny is able to provide high level care for both uncomplicated and high risk pregnancies. Briohny graduated with honours from Monash University in 2004. She commenced specialty training in 2007, undertaking training at the Mercy Hospital for Women as well as Geelong Hospital and The Northern Hospital. Upon completing her general training, Briohny travelled to Canada in 2012 to undertake a fellowship in Perinatology (Maternal Fetal Medicine) at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, Edmonton. After returning to Melbourne, she completed an additional 2 years of training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Mercy Hospital for Women. Here she gained further experience in obstetric ultrasound and high risk pregnancy management. Briohny has a staff specialist position at the Mercy Hospital for Women and private admitting rights at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. As part of her role at the Mercy Hospital for Women she is actively involved in teaching Obstetric and Gynaecology trainees surgical and ultrasound skills. Outside the practice, Briohny is the mother of two beautiful young children and enjoys spending time with her family, baking and running marathons.</image:caption>

Following this, she undertook a two year Urogynaecology fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, before returning to Melbourne to complete the formal three year Subspecialty Urogynaecology Training Program at the Mercy Hospital for women. Kristina’s special interests are prolapse, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. She has a keen interest in research and trainee education. As well as private practice, Kristina has a public hospital appointment as a consultant Urogynaecologist at the Mercy Hospital for Women.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Nicole is a specialist medical Doctor and lactation consultant who manages the intersectionality of issues in feeding, maternal and infant wellbeing and medical problems. She manages difficult breastfeeding and perinatal problems, and receives referrals from lactation consultants, MCHN, medical specialists, GPs and hospitals.. Her primary goal is to support mothers and families in meeting their needs around feeding with the recognition that the ways in which this can be done is diverse. Nicole wants you to feel supported throughout your journey of early parenthood and in any challenges you may face. Wherever possible, she advocates a hands off approach with a return to supporting the evolutionary neurobiology of mothers and babies. This allows for the fostering of attachment and connection with the minimum medical intervention necessary, encouraging for families to thrive. Nicole studied Medicine at the University of Adelaide and Monash University and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has an interest in mothers and babies and her clinical focus has been related to Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Psychiatry. Nicole has spent many years practicing Breastfeeding Medicine and she is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with additional qualifications in Newborn Behavioural Observation and infant mental health via the Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne. As a parent of twins and premature babies, Nicole has a special interest in multiple births and ex-premmies/ neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) graduates and care for many families who experience these unique issues.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Yvonne is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who is dedicated to providing her patients with safe, compassionate and individualised care. She strives to ensure that her guidance encompasses evidence based practice and your personal preferences as you navigate the pregnancy together. Yvonne provides care for all pregnancies, from uncomplicated to those with pre-existing maternal conditions, previous pregnancy complications or higher risks. She also provides a range of gynaecology services including management of abnormal periods, PCOS, ovarian cysts, early pregnancy complications and contraception. After graduating from Monash University in 2010, Yvonne gained valuable experience in surgical and neonatal roles before commencing specialty training in 2015. Her training was completed predominantly at the Mercy Hospital for Women, in conjunction with rotations across Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Ballarat Base Hospital, The Northern Hospital and Mater Mother’s Hospital (Brisbane). In her final year of training, she worked as a fellow with the Mercy Perinatal team, gaining valuable experience in ultrasound as well as management of complex and high risk pregnancies. Yvonne holds a public appointment at the Mercy Hospital for Women, where she is also a training supervisor for junior obstetrics and gynaecology trainees. In addition, she is also involved in delivering teaching to the medical students rotating through from the University of Melbourne. Outside of work, Yvonne is pretty busy keeping up with her own little tribe of three active children. She loves sneaking off to a yoga class when she can, baking a sweet treat or getting outside into the garden.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Emma is a Haematologist with a special interest in women’s health and obstetric haematology. She is passionate about providing thoughtful, individualised care and supporting her patients through every stage of their health journey. Graduating with Honours from the University of Western Australia in 2011, Emma completed her Basic Physician Training in Melbourne, before undertaking dual specialty training in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology, achieving Fellowship in 2021. She currently works at Melbourne Pathology and the Royal Women’s Hospital, and is actively involved in teaching haematology trainees, obstetric medicine fellows, obstetricians, gynaecologists and midwives. Emma has a particular interest in non-malignant haematology, especially conditions affecting women during pregnancy and gynaecological health. She cares for patients with anaemia and other low blood counts, bleeding and clotting disorders, red blood cell antibodies affecting pregnancy, and inherited conditions such as thalassaemia. Emma’s practice is underpinned by her caring nature, dedication and a strong emphasis on collaborative, compassionate care. Outside of work, Emma enjoys the beautiful chaos of family life with her three young children, as well as cooking and travelling.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>BA/BSc, MBBS (Hons), FRCPA, FRACP Dr Anna Parakh is a dual trained laboratory and clinical haematologist. She obtained her medical degree from the Australian National University in 2011, graduating with Honours and the University Medal. She also obtained a dual Arts/Science undergraduate degree from the Australian National University, majoring in molecular biology and Spanish language. She completed specialist haematology training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2021. Anna values patient-centered, multidisciplinary care and excellent communication with patients and colleagues. She holds a clinical appointment with the Royal Women’s Hospital, and has a specialist interest in haemostasis and thrombosis and obstetric haematology. She also works as a laboratory haematologist with Melbourne Pathology. As well as clinical and laboratory work, Anna actively contributes to teaching and research activities at these centres. Outside of work, Anna enjoys reading, cooking, travel and most of all spending time with her partner and their three young children.</image:caption>
