Dr Anna Parakh

Dr Anna Parakh is a dual trained laboratory and clinical haematologist. She obtained her medical degree from the Australian National University in 2011, graduating with Honours and the University Medal. She also obtained a dual Arts/Science undergraduate degree from the Australian National University, majoring in molecular biology and Spanish language. She completed specialist haematology training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2021.
Anna values patient-centered, multidisciplinary care and excellent communication with patients and colleagues. She holds a clinical appointment with the Royal Women’s Hospital, and has a specialist interest in haemostasis and thrombosis and obstetric haematology. She also works as a laboratory haematologist with Melbourne Pathology. As well as clinical and laboratory work, Anna actively contributes to teaching and research activities at these centres.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys reading, cooking, travel and most of all spending time with her partner and their three young children.
